When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

I drew this late 2005 (around October) for art class. We had to fill a whole page with faces. I did this last minute (this night before), panicking. OMGWHATAMIGONNADOOOOO?!?!
I used pencil and -- don't tell! -- traced a little. Like many, I look back on this and think, "I could've done better". But I'm really happy with how this turned out. This went to the Art Fair. It won lots of praise and a nice, big, blue ribbon that you can see here: [link] Familiar faces: Gerard & Mikey Way, Avril Lavigne (I couldn't find anyone else good that I have a lot of references to, to finish up), Amy Lee, Frank Iero, Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, Talinda Bentley Un-familiar faces: Me, my mom, Devin Devoor, some of my friends....... When my mom saw me drawing Frank on the way to getting the telephone, she was like, "I like that girl [Frank]! She's cute!" Me: "Mommy........he's a boy.....  "Comments welcome |
